As the church was born of God through Christ Jesus; On September 17, 1894 St. John Baptist church was erected in Hurleytown, VA to carry out the will of God and established a place of worship for the organizing foundational families. Today it stands to continue to carryout the mission of Christ through the generation of families within her walls, and their need to survive in the spirit.
Our Mission is to reach people for Christ who do not have a Church home or do not know Jesus Christ as their personal 1savior. We plan to do this by providing a place of worship where people will feel comfortable to worship and learn more about God and His plan for their lives. We plan to do this by providing a place of worship where people will feel comfortable to worship and learn more about God and His plan for their lives. Also, by establishing a well-planned educational program to meet the spiritual needs of the people, and train them how to rightly use God's Word and apply it to their lives.
